1.         The TRIP program will run weekly during the entire school year from 8:00 — 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, except for normally scheduled vacations. TRIP will run bi- weekly during the summer months on Tuesday from 9:00 — 10:00 a.m. The door closes shortly after this time so the TRIP committee can get their books balanced on time. We appreciate your consideration in this matter! If school is closed on Tuesday due to a snow day, TRIP will also be closed that day and will not be open until the NEXT Tuesday. If school is delayed on Tuesday due to weather, TRIP will also be delayed and the certificates will be sold in the 1 1/2 hours after the school day begins.

2.         Family or friends may help you with your TRIP by registering and receiving their own account number. These accounts may be divided among more than one family if you choose. Parents or singles looking to the future and planning for Christian education for their children can also participate.

3.         All certificate orders must be accompanied by a check made payable to HCS-TRIP CHECKS ONLY PLEASE!! Multiple checks per order are acceptable. WE WILL NO LONGER BE TAKING CASH! These checks are non-tax deductible because participants receive dollar for dollar value. The back of the checks will be stamped For Deposit Only, Heritage Christian School. These checks will be deposited on the day the orders are processed.

4.         Anyone writing a non-sufficient funds (NSF) check will incur a fee of $20.00 to be paid to TRIP. After two NSF checks are tendered on your TRIP account, Your TRIP ordering privileges will be suspended for the remainder of the school year.

5.         If you want your certificates sent home on Tuesdays with one of your children, A Disclaimer of Responsibility MUST be signed.

6.         The percentage earned on each participating family’s account will be held by TRIP and credited to your tuition account every payout. Your credit may also be sent to Covenant Christian High School. If you are a future family your credits will be held until you tell us to apply it to your tuition account. Your credit may also be assigned to the foundation, fundraisers or another fund you designate.

Payouts will be processed three times a year, the last week of August before school begins, Christmas break, and Spring break.

7.         Orders may be placed in the TRIP mailbox during the week. The box is emptied by the trip committee when we sell TRIP certificates on Tuesdays.

8.         The gift certificates are the same as cash. Neither Heritage Christian School, its employees or the TRIP committee will accept responsibility for lost or misplaced certificates.

9.         Each store has their own policy on change back from certificates. Find out before paying for your purchase and also please be courteous to store clerks.

10.       The program will begin with the stores listed on the order form. Other stores may be added in the future. You will notice the discount percentages listed vary from store to store. The percentages listed are the percentages you will actually realize as a rebate and will be applied as you have directed on your registration form. The rebate earned on each participating family’s account will be held by TRIP and credited to your account on a quarterly basis. Each time you receive your certificates, the envelope label will show your weekly rebate total and your Year-to-Date (YTD) total. If you are transferring or receiving credits, it will also be reflected in a separate total. Any discrepancies must be

brought to the attention the TRIP Committee within 20 days of the pick-up date.

11.       The certificates will be used as cash at the participating stores on your registration form. The rule we ask you to follow is do not except change from the certificates. Therefore, pay as much as you can with the certificates up to, but pay the rest with a check or cash. We ask that you be extremely considerate of these guidelines when making the purchase. If we give cashiers or clerks a difficult time about wanting change, we jeopardize the integrity of the program and give our school a bad reputation. It seems that each store and even individual cashiers handle them differently.

12.       The merchants following are the ones that allow you to pay charge accounts: Kohl’s, Penney’s.

13.       TRIP is being offered to promote Christian education. If your child (ren) no longer attend(s) Heritage Christian School, the monies held under your account number can only be transferred to another Christian school, to Covenant Christian High School or credited to the Fund-raisers.

14.       Rebates for a future tuition account will be held by the TRIP program and will be credited to the proper account when the child is enrolled.

15.       School closings- If the school is closed on Tuesday then the TRIP Committee will also be off the day. Orders drop-off and pick- up will move to the next open school day.

16.       Order Pickup – If a STUDENT is taking the order home, you must sign a disclaimer stating that the student you have authorized is allowed to pick up the certificates. A sheet will be signed here at school to show that they have picked up your order. If your order is being delivered by MAIL, you must provide a large, self-addressed stamped envelope for mailing.

The following is a list of VIP Participating businesses that can be ordered from in addition to the merchants on the TRIP order form. These certificates are available in $5 and $25.
